The XIV Congress of the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment

The XIV Congress of the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment will be held in Century City International Convention Centre, Chengdu, China on September 21-27, 2023. Based on the theme of “Engineering Geology for a Habitable Earth”, the congress is expected to enhance the disciplinary and research development of international engineering geology and the environment, and contribute to the advancement of major projects, ecological progress, and habitable earth with research and discussion in global climate change mitigation and adaption, geological hazard assessment and prevention, geotechnical properties of rock and soil mass, engineering geology applied to traffic, energy, urban and marine, ecological environment protection in major projects, and artificial intelligence, new theories and technologies in engineering geology, etc. We warmly welcome the worldwide engineering geological community to come to Chengdu to participate in this academic event.

Call for Papers

The submission system is now open for full-length papers. The deadline for submission of full-length paper has been extended to May 31, 2023. Please read the guidelines for paper submittal prior to submitting your full-length paper.

The abstract collection system for oral presentations and posters is open! If you prefer not to publish a paper, but instead of preparing an abstract for an oral presentation or poster to be presented during the Congress, please submit your abstract for an oral presentation or poster by May 31, 2023.

Important News

[March 15, 2023] All types of Chinese visas, including tourist visas, are available starting from March 15, 2023. Additionally, entry functions for visas issued before March 28, 2020 and still valid have been restored. Individuals arriving in China from abroad are no longer required to quarantine or take a PCR test upon arrival. However, they are still required to present a negative test result taken within 48 hours before departure. For more detailed information, please consult the embassy of the People's Republic of China in your country.
